Job Summary:

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. This role requires a thorough understanding of electrical codes, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with local and national codes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures.
• Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems and provide solutions in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with other trades and team members to complete projects efficiently.
• Ensure all work is performed safely and adheres to OSHA regulations and company safety policies.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, materials used, and project progress.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to apprentices and less experienced electricians.
• Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:

• Valid journeyman electrician’s license or equivalent certification.
• years of experience as an electrician in residential, commercial, or industrial settings.
• Strong knowledge of electrical codes, standards, and safety practices.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical documentation.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various environments (including confined spaces and heights).
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, as needed.

Compensation:

• $32 per hour + per diem
